A Close Encounter with Richard Dreyfuss

On Sunday 24th September Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe winner actor Richard Dreyfuss will be discussing his illustrious career on stage at the Leicester Square Theatre in London. Hosted by DJ, writer & presenter Mike Read. This special evening coincides with the 40th Anniversary of one of the most beloved sci-fi films ever made – Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Richard Dreyfuss also starred in, amongst others American GraffitiStand By MeDown and Out in Beverly HillsThe Goodbye Girl, Always, Mr. Holland's Opus and of course one of the biggest movies of all time Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.

Dreyfuss won the Academy Award, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1977 for The Goodbye Girl, and was nominated in 1995 for Mr Holland's Opus. He was also nominated, in 2002, for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries categories.

The evening promises to be a memorable one for all his fans and at this rate “we’ll need a bigger …theatre!”
